Headbands4africa
We travel to different parts of the world to find special and lovely textile fabrics for our clothing and bed cover business. There are always fabrics which are so special that I like to showcase them into something in the accessory line to show-off just the beauty of the fabric itself. These have translated into our range of Headbands. The fabrics are so beautiful in themselves. Headbands are made in South Africa from finest fabrics.

Home again from buying trip
I ve brought back lots of lovely new fabrics for headbands!!
Well its nice to be back home and sleeping in my own bed again. We had a wonderful trip and so interesting. Ive just brought back with me a hundred new ideas for colours, designs and combinations. Its nice to have had a fresh breeze blow through the thought processes.
I see the hair style for the young guys is a kind of long floppy mohawk on top with shaved sides of the head. It can look quite nice on some. The girls are all still wearing leggings and tights with just about anything. Its good that everyone is suiting themselves these days and there are no set fashions.
I think that last years dress fashion with short front hem and long droopy back hem is over and done with and really didnt look good on anyone.
Im looking forward to using my new fabrics and watch this space for the first of the designs.
In South Africa we are at the last quarter of summer and only about another few weeks of swimming weather before it starts to get chilly. My thoughts turn to our winter designs and look forward to those and something fresh but classic in style.
Happy everything to all of you and enjoy every day!!!

Buying trip to find new fabrics
The use of fabrics in design are endlessly exciting. I just love
the use of the mixed colours and textures and from a pile of offcuts a
surprising colour combination just jumps out as beautiful.
I will be going on a buying trip next week in search of new and lovely fabrics for the new season and will keep you posted on what is new. Happy happy.

These three girls were enjoying Sedgefield morning market last Saturday. They are Chinone Naude' , Bernedise Farrel and Zandone' Farrel from Vanderbijlpark.
The Xmas holidays are here and the weather is glorious. After a few drops of rain early in the morning the sun came out and the day was lovely.
The visitors streamed in from early and the car parks were full. Lots of last minute present buying and the market was kept busy until lunch time. I met so many interesting people but all in a hurry and the morning was a blur of talking to so many faces I lost track of who was doing what. I did meet a lovely lady from Natal who was buying herself a dress and necklace and then said ;"Oh well, let me take two of everything because my sister is just going to like this and want the same anyway."
Then all the other browsers also joined in and said, yes, their family members also want to 'borrow' all their nice new stuff. So there you have it - buy two of everything and it solves the problem!
